Musk Slammed For Saying Twitter Is Seeking 'The Least Wrong Truth' With Community Notes Feature

Last December, Elon Musk-owned Twitter launched a Community Notes feature worldwide, enabling users to add notes to tweets that might be misleading.

Formerly known as Birdwatch, it is part of Musk’s response to people questioning Twitter’s moderation ability and trustworthiness.

But a recent Tweet from Musk regarding Community Notes has received severe flak from the community. The tweet has also raised questions about its visibility and authenticity.

Musk tweeted that the Community Notes feature intends to be fair and impartial and to fight for the truth and the whole truth. He said Twitter is “seeking only the least wrong truth.”

One Twitter user responded to him, saying there is nothing called the least wrong truth. Adding that, “There are only facts, and there’s bulls**t that people make up that you amplify.”

Another user mentioned the phrase “least wrong truth,” referencing George Orwell.

One of Musk’s followers accused the Twitter CEO of endorsing supporters of President Donald Trump and his “Make America Great Again (MAGA)” slogan.

However, Last week, Musk clarified his position, saying that he is not part of MAGA and believes in the fairness of justice.

Musk purchased Twitter for $44 billion and is under pressure to cut costs after making a deal in which he overpaid, according to some analysts.
